appearance, Mastin Espanol.
The
Mastin Espanol is a big, massive and well proportioned dog. Very powerful
and well muscled. He is affectionate, friendly and noble. Is very alert
and with great steadiness when confronted with strangers, especially
when defending and guarding property and livestock. His bark is deep
and low, audible at considerable distance.
He
is an intelligent and independent dog. His behaviour demonstrates that
and he is very sure of himself and realizes his enormous strength. He
has a large head with a wide base. The neck is well muscled and the
skin is heavy and loose with double dewlaps. His body is rectangular,
strong and robust, but flexible. The legs are strong with "cat-feet".
The gait is with ease, force and elegance. The coat is short/semi-long
with a well developed undercoat.
The Mastin Espanol is seen in all colours, like all shades of blond,
red and brown, black and tan, brindle and spotted. Small white marks
on chest and legs are often seen.
